I walk in, and stiffly sit, waiting for my name.

I walked into the Great Hall, feeling bored and hungry. It was a long journey. I sat down at the Gryffindor table and watched the first years being Sorted.

They call my name. I gulp and stiffly walk up. I put the hat on my head. I wanted to fall over and die.

It was nearing the end of the Sorting. I sighed impatiently, feeling like kicking the bench.

Let's see, let's see........ the Sorting Hat said to me.

"W-what is it?"

"GRYFFINDOR!" it yelled. I walked to the Gryffindor table, nervously.

I clapped along with the others, still impatient. How many more kids were there to go? I hadn't really payed attention to the names.

There were no more left.

I looked around at my house as we got up and walked to our Common Room. I saw a girl that looked like she was here for a while. "Hi," I said, walking next to her.

I turned my head and saw the boy walking next to me. "Hello, I'm Courtney, a fourth year."

"I'm Mason....a new kid to Hogwarts. I was the last one to get sorted." I continue walking with the girl.

Jake shot to his feet fearfully. He then realized he was being called for the ceremony and apprehensively walked up.

I'm not sure.... To be honest, I don't know where I wanna go myself. Jake sighed. His dad told him there might be trouble housing him.

Jake was a bit surprised. The hat had chosen Gryffindor....out of all the houses, for him. Jake. Little ol' buggerhead. Jake slowly walked to the Gryffindor table and took a seat.
